Dr. Joe Outlaw expressed optimism that farm bill conference committee would work to improve the farm safety net.
Charlie Cook Political Report’s David Wasserman predicted Republicans have the edge in maintaining the majority in the Senate in the midterm elections while he believes Democrats enjoy an advantage in the House. Wasserman noted that targeted House Republicans could hold off opponents if the latter are successfully portrayed as unelectable while Senate Democrats could win upsets in traditional GOP territory keeping control of that chamber in play.
